What Raftel is

Raftel is a personal reading tracker. It does not host, store, transmit, or provide access to comic chapters, scanlations, or any other copyrighted reading material, and it does not link to unofficial readers. Nothing here grants you a licence to read, copy, or distribute any work. Where a title can be read legally, Raftel may link to the publisher's own page.

Where the catalog comes from

Bibliographic facts about titles (names, credits, chapter and volume counts, publication status, and similar) come from MyAnimeList's official API, Kitsu, and MangaUpdates. Raftel does not own those facts, nor any publisher's names, logos, or trademarks.

Cover art remains the property of its publishers and artists. Raftel shows publicly available catalog image URLs so a title can be recognised; cover files are never downloaded or re-hosted here, and no right to reproduce them is granted to you.

Where an adaptation is listed, the link is a working Fandom wiki for that work, if one exists. Fandom is a fan-wiki host, unrelated to Raftel. Wiki text is never copied here. Wikidata may be consulted only to confirm a wiki address.

Your account and your data

To hold an account Raftel stores your email address, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself), your chosen names, your shelf and ratings, and anything you post. Server logs keep request details including your IP address for a short period, for security and abuse investigation.

Raftel does not sell your data, does not share it for advertising, and carries no advertising or third-party analytics. Data is processed only to run the service.

The service runs on Amazon Web Services and sends email through Gmail. Those providers necessarily handle the data required to host the service and deliver your messages.

Raftel uses one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not used for tracking or advertising. Clearing it signs you out.

Email is transactional only - confirming your address, resetting your password, and notices about your account. There is no marketing email.

If you turn notifications on, your browser gives Raftel a push subscription so alerts can reach your device. Turning them off deletes it.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, shelf, posts, and messages. Backups roll off within 30 days, and log entries expire on their own schedule.

Who can use Raftel

You must be 13 or older to hold an account. Titles carrying explicit sexual content stay hidden unless the account states it belongs to someone 18 or over; that setting is your declaration, not an identity check.

What members post

Synopses, comments, messages, photos, and other posts are written by members. Authors keep their rights and are credited. By posting, you confirm you have the right to post it, and you grant Raftel a non-exclusive licence to store and display it on the service.

Do not post illegal material, sexual content involving minors in any form, other people's private information, or links to pirated chapters. Raftel removes such content and closes the accounts behind it. Sexual content involving minors is reported to the authorities, not merely deleted.

If something here infringes your rights

Email raftel.moe@gmail.com with the work concerned, where it appears on Raftel, proof you hold the rights or act for the holder, and how to reach you. Valid complaints are acted on promptly, and repeat infringement ends an account. If you believe your own content was removed in error, reply and say why.

Credits

Animated GIFs come from Giphy through its official API and stay hosted by Giphy. Raftel does not copy or sublicense them. Use is subject to Giphy's API terms, and GIFs are labelled Powered by GIPHY.

Default avatars use the Lorelei and Lorelei Neutral sets by Lisa Wischofsky via DiceBear, under CC BY 4.0.

The plain warnings

Raftel is provided as it is, with no warranty. Catalog facts come from third parties and can be wrong - chapter counts and release dates especially. Raftel is not liable for loss arising from use of the service, and it may change or stop at any time. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Raftel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by MyAnimeList, Kitsu, MangaUpdates, Giphy, Fandom, Wikimedia, DiceBear, Amazon, Google, or any publisher.

Material changes to this notice are announced in the app. Continuing to use Raftel afterwards means you accept them.
